This page from John Kimball provides some very basic bone biology information and is part of an online biology textbook.

This site from Dr. Susan Ott at the University of Washington has more advanced bone biology information, including animations of bone remodeling. It also contains clinically relevant information about bone densitometry, osteoporosis, and other skeletal diseases.

Gwen Robbins in the Anthropology Department at Appalachian State University posted this presentation on bone biology from her Human Osteology course—lots of nice pictures!

The International Osteoporosis Foundation (IOF) offers these pages with educational materials on osteoporosis.

IOF also offers Progress in Osteoporosis, an online journal providing summaries and analysis of recent papers in multiple disciplines related to osteoporosis, edited by Ego Seeman. Free, registration required.
